On Monday, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu arrived in Washington, DC. Speech on strategy to counter growing threat from IranIt will be his first time addressing Parliament since the October 7 attacks.
Unfortunately, his welcome was not warm.
Not only did Vice President Kamala Harris, former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.), and many Democratic lawmakers miss Netanyahu’s speech, but thousands of pro-Hamas protesters gathered and caused chaos, resulting in “major chaos” at the U.S. Capitol.
Blaze Media National Correspondent Julio Rosas was in Washington, DC to witness the unrest and reported on what he witnessed alongside Jill Savage and other panelists on “Blade News Tonight.”

“Initially, protesters opposed to Prime Minister Netanyahu speaking to Parliament today tried to approach the parliament building, [but] “Police blocked their path to stop them from getting closer, which resulted in clashes that forced police to use pepper spray. The crowd eventually began to move away,” Rosas said, adding that the “mob marched through the Capitol Hill neighborhood before coming to Union Station.”
“The U.S. Park Police were called in to stop protesters from pulling down the American flag, which normally flies at Columbus Circle. Fighting escalated and more arrests were made. The Park Police withdrew after securing the American flag and those arrested, but people continued to follow and heckle them as they retreated.”
Afterwards, “protesters pulled down the remaining American flags and replaced them with Palestinian flags,” Rosas reports.
“why this “Rebellion?” Jill asks, pointing out the obvious hypocrisy.
“Because Democrats and their media allies have decided that it isn’t,” said Christopher Bedford, senior political editor and Washington correspondent for Blaze Media. “What’s striking about what you’re seeing here — the flag being pulled down, the police being attacked, the flag being burned — is that so many of our members of Congress are standing with these people.”
“Although not many lawmakers actually attended, [the Democrat members] “Some people were actually wearing activist T-shirts that you see at the parade,” he continues.
“Put together an image of protesters ripping up and burning an American flag, alongside an image of Donald Trump with blood all over his face, raising his fist next to the American flag, and ask people which side they want to choose.”
