Kamala Harris’ Candidacy Ignites Civil War Between Hollywood and Silicon Valley: ‘F**k These Trump-Loving Techies’

Four years ago, Hollywood and Silicon Valley were united in their mission to stop then-President Donald Trump’s reelection at all costs. But now, as more “techies” openly support Trump, the already uneasy relationship between California’s two biggest industries — both huge political fundraisers — has grown more acrimonious and nasty.

Tech men, from Elon Musk to David Sachs to the Winklevoss twins, have jumped on the Trump bandwagon in reaction to many of the Biden-Harris administration’s disastrous policies, particularly its bias toward excessive regulation and plans to impose a tax on “unrealized capital gains” that would hurt the wealthy and stifle innovation.

Even Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg, who intervened in the 2020 election on behalf of Joe Biden, called Trump an “incredible guy” for surviving the recent assassination attempt.

Their political heresy will only further alienate them from Hollywood elites whom they already deeply resent for upending the entertainment industry with streaming media.

“Trump-loving techies are bullshit,” says anonymous Hollywood exec Said The Hollywood Reporter.

Another anonymous source told the outlet: “It’s no secret that Hollywood wasn’t very fond of these guys. [tech bros].”

“Nobody is happy about people associated with the Trump administration. There is a lot of money in Hollywood and a lot of contempt for people in the tech industry. I think there will be people who are willing to spend a lot of money just to teach people that money can’t buy elections.”

The bitter rivalry comes as Silicon Valley billionaires are pouring money into helping President Trump retake the White House. Tech venture capitalists Marc Andreessen and Ben Horowitz have reportedly pledged to donate to America PAC, a pro-Trump super PAC reportedly recently founded by people close to Elon Musk.

In a recent blog postAndreessen and Horowitz were slamming the Biden-Harris administration.

“The US government is now far more hostile towards startups than it has been in the past,” they wrote, saying regulators are “using aggressive investigations, prosecutions, intimidation, and threats to cripple emerging industries.”

They also slammed the Biden-Harris plan to impose an unrealized capital gains tax, saying it would “totally kill” the startup industry.

As reported by Breitbart News, Tyler Winklevoss recently said that he and his brother Cameron currently support Trump, noting that the current Biden-Harris administration is openly hostile towards cryptocurrencies.

“Over the past few years, the Biden Administration has openly declared war on cryptocurrencies, weaponizing multiple government agencies to intimidate, harass, and sue good players in the cryptocurrency industry in an attempt to destroy the industry,” he wrote.

Tech figures are also said to approve of Trump’s choice of Sen. J.D. Vance (R-Ohio), who worked as a venture capitalist in Silicon Valley before entering politics, as his running mate.

Meanwhile in Hollywood, elite donors who not long ago were marching in lockstep for Biden’s reelection are now loyally pledging their allegiance to Kamala Harris.

In the two days since Biden dropped out of the campaign trail, Hollywood has gone wild for Harris. Among the industry fundraisers who have pledged their support for Harris are George Clooney and Rob Reiner, as well as a host of other celebrities and celebrity influencers, including Robert De Niro, Bette Midler, Barbra Streisand and Mark Ruffalo.
