The Mariners are hoping to inject some major help into their struggling offense.
Seattle has acquired outfielder Randy Arozarena in a trade with the Rays, according to multiple reports.

The 2021 Rookie of the Year and 2023 American League All-Star got off to a slow start this year but has hit 15 home runs and posted an OPS+ of 106, just above league average.
He hit 86 home runs and posted a .442 slugging percentage in six seasons with the Rays.
The Mariners are 53-51 and one game behind the Astros, who recently surpassed Seattle in the AL West.
Seattle’s offense has been a major issue this season, ranking last in MLB in batting average (.216) and third-worst in OPS (.660).
In late May, amid continued struggles, the team fired offensive coordinator and bench coach Brant Brown.
Arozarena is arbitration eligible for the next two seasons and won’t become a free agent until 2027.
He will join an outfield that now includes 2022 Rookie of the Year Julio Rodriguez.
