President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama endorsed Kamala Harris on The X Show on Friday.

Axios reported:

Former President Obama endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris as the Democratic presidential nominee on Friday morning.

Why it matters: All the big names in Democratic politics have formally endorsed Harris, putting her on track to win the nomination just days after President Biden withdrew and endorsed her.

“This week we had the opportunity to meet with a friend we’ve known for more than 20 years,” President Obama, who endorsed Harris in campaign emails and videos, said in a statement issued alongside former first lady Michelle Obama.
“She’s been pretty busy these past few days, to say the least, but we couldn’t be more excited for her and we couldn’t be more excited to endorse Kamala Harris as the Democratic nominee for president of the United States.”

President Obama was reportedly “furious” that Joe Biden endorsed Kamala Harris.

Trending Politics reported:

A “source close to the Biden family” told the New York Post that former President Barack Obama doesn’t believe Kamala Harris can win and is “furious” that Biden chose to endorse her.

Following Biden’s unprecedented resignation via X-post, many key Democratic leaders, including the president, have voiced their support for Vice President Harris. However, former President Barack Obama was a notable exception, making no mention of Harris in a statement he released last Sunday.

Regarding VP Harris, a source close to the Biden family told the New York Post that President Obama is “very upset because he knows VP Harris can’t win.”

“Obama knows she’s incompetent. She’s a border agent who’s never been to the border and she says all immigrants should have health insurance. She can’t avoid the landmines that are in front of her,” the source said. “When you’re running for president, there are things you can and can’t say.”
