Christina Hall has spoken out for the first time since filing for divorce from her husband, Josh Hall, on July 7.
On Thursday, the HGTV star took to her Instagram Story to clarify reports that she was “blindsided” by her ex-husband’s decision to separate.
“While we wait for the typical Hired PR person speech about how she was caught off guard and is taking time to reflect and heal at her ranch…. Meanwhile, over here, it’s not as sweet and quiet as it used to be…” the opening line of Hall’s Instagram Story read.

She continued, “I’ve worked so hard to build this life for myself and my children and it’s shameful for anyone to try to take something they don’t deserve or work for.”

Josh, a real estate agent, gave the date of separation as July 8th, while Christina said the former couple separated the day before, on July 7th.
The estranged couple’s wedding date was listed as October 6, 2021.
According to court documents obtained by Fox News Digital, Christina filed for divorce earlier this month and has since accused her estranged husband of transferring $35,000 of her money into his personal bank account after filing for divorce.
“A man with low self-confidence and high self-esteem may try to derail you, but ‘I will still rise.'”
In the documents, Christina wrote, “On July 21, 2024, I learned that on July 8, 2024, the day after I told Josh I intended to file for divorce, Josh contacted my professional property management company via text message stating, ‘Hello. Regarding the June payment, can you please transfer the payment to a different account when the time comes? Thank you.'”
“The ‘can I please’ statement is not accurate as I had no personal contact with Josh on July 8th, 2024. I would not have asked him to send me my money the day after I told him I was getting a divorce,” she continued.
“Josh has diverted over $35,000 in rental income from my other properties into his own accounts,” Christina added. “I am demanding that Josh provide me with an itemized statement of the stolen funds and return them to me as they are being used specifically to pay the mortgages, debt, property taxes, insurance and maintenance for these rental properties.”

In the new documents, Christina said she was “shocked and concerned” by Josh’s behavior the day after she filed for divorce.
“The fact that this is the same date he is currently claiming to be his separation date, when in fact it is July 7, 2024, makes it clear why he chose the following day,” she said. “It makes me wonder if there is something else I don’t know about his financial situation, which is why I am having a full forensic accounting carried out of our entire marriage.”
Christina also said that her ex-husband “does not need spousal support” because he has his own source of income.

“I understand that at some point this court may require me to award spousal support to Josh and reasonable attorney’s fees to his attorneys,” she said, “but because this is a simple case with a short and easy calculation, I believe costs and fees should be minimal.”
“Like any hard working mother, my life revolves around my children and my job. It is my understanding that Josh has his own income and does not require spousal support from me,” she added.
