Spectators at the Olympic surfing competition on Saturday got a much bigger treat than they bargained for: German surfer Tim Elter stripping naked in the waves of Tahiti.
He was in the Olympics, so why was he in Tahiti?
Good question. The waves in France are not Olympic-grade, so the surfing competition takes place in Tahiti, where the waves offer a tougher challenge.
As you can see in the video, the waves proved more than enough of a challenge for Elter’s outfit.

The cameras caught the moment, but it’s unclear if they did, as the announcer left the indecent exposure unsaid without any comment. But the cameras and the Internet can see it all, and it can never be forgotten. So if you thought Tim Elter would just run away and the moment would disappear into the abyss like his pants, you’d be wrong.
