Three women were stabbed in two bloody attacks in New York on Sunday night, including one inside a subway station in Queens, police said.
Police said a 23-year-old man was stabbed multiple times in the torso on the mezzanine level of Jamaica Van Wyck Station in the Richmond Hill neighborhood around 8:30 p.m.
The victim was rushed to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center in stable condition.
The NYPD said investigators have detained a suspect and are currently questioning him as the investigation continues.
It is unclear what relationship, if any, exists between the victim and the perpetrator.
More than two hours later, a 27-year-old woman and a 33-year-old woman were stabbed near 261 Bowery in lower Manhattan, police said.
Police said the stabbing happened after a fight at a bar spilled onto the street.
Police said the young woman suffered a stab wound to her back and the other victim suffered stab wounds to her neck and torso.
Both were taken to Bellevue Hospital in stable condition, police said.
A suspect was also detained, but it is unclear whether he is a suspect or simply a witness, as the investigation is ongoing, according to the NYPD.
