NFL kicker Harrison Butker offered a succinct response to the Paris Olympics opening ceremony, quoting a Bible verse about mocking God.
The opening ceremony of the 2024 Summer Olympics drew worldwide condemnation for openly mocking Christianity and featuring a large number of drag queens, transgender people, and activists during the presentation. The shocking footage overshadowed appearances by celebrities such as singers Celine Dion and Lady Gaga, as well as popular artists like Snoop Dogg, in a move aimed at boosting attendance at the Olympics.

Later that night, Butker was joined by former NFL quarterback Luke McCown, who called the opening ceremony “filthy,” adding that he was “disappointed but not surprised.”

Butch is reportedly a well-known gay activist, in fact calling himself a “love activist” and promoting diversity and body positivity.
