The Braves fight back.
Per a report from MLB.com, 2021 World Series MVP Jorge Soler was acquired from the Giants in a trade late Monday night that also included a reunion with right-hander Luke Jackson.
Both players were part of the Braves’ world championship team in 2021, but Soler was acquired in a trade at the deadline that year and spent his first season with Atlanta before becoming a key part of their playoff run.
Soler has played in 93 games for the Giants this season, batting .240 with 12 home runs and 40 RBIs.

He’s been in great form recently, hitting 11 out of 18 at-bats with one home run and five RBIs in his last five games.
Jackson has appeared in 36 games out of the bullpen, going 4-2 with a 5.40 ERA.
The Braves are just half a game behind the Mets for the National League wild-card spot after Monday night’s 8-3 loss to the Brewers.
