Sen. John Kennedy (R-Louisiana) said Monday on Fox News Channel’s “Your World” that Vice President Kamala Harris is not a serious person.
“A lot of Americans think the vice president is a bit of a jerk,” Kennedy said.
“You’ve raised a lot of very obvious, substantive issues that are up for debate, and I’m just saying, all of the issues and calling her a crank and all of that, I get that, I get that, this is political season and I know that happens on both sides,” host Neil Cavuto said.
“You’re taking my word for it. I said she’s part of the crazy wing of the Democratic Party. And there are crazy wing of the Democratic Party,” Kennedy said.
“The polls I’ve seen suggest that a majority of Americans don’t think the vice president is a serious person. Like I said, she’s a bit of a douchebag,” Kennedy said.
He continued, “And number two, she’s part of the crazy wing of the Democratic Party. She’s a Democrat from San Francisco. She’s exactly like Rep. Ocasio-Cortez, except she’s never been a bartender. She’s not mainstream. And what I was trying to say is that with her first policy position on abortion, the idea that we should have a no-questions-asked law for abortion up until the moment of birth is a crazy wing position for most Americans. That’s my opinion. That’s what the polls show.”
