In an interview on Fox News Channel’s “The Ingraham Angle” that aired Monday, former President Donald Trump reacted to “The Last Supper” that was displayed during Friday night’s opening ceremony of the Paris Olympics.
Republican presidential candidate Trump called the actions “disgraceful.”
“The truth is, I think the opening ceremony was a disgrace,” he said. “I think it was a disgrace.”
“It’s a mockery of The Last Supper,” host Laura Ingraham responded. “Catholics and Christians around the world are outraged.”
“I thought it was awful,” Trump replied.
Ms Ingraham then pointed out that the next Olympics would be held in Los Angeles, but Mr Trump countered that there would be no Last Supper as depicted in Paris.
“There’s not going to be a Last Supper as portrayed the other night,” he told Fox News host Laura Ingraham, “I mean, they can do certain things, I thought were terrible… I’m all for everybody. I’m very open-minded. But I think the things they did were disgraceful.”
