On MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” on Thursday, network contributor Molly Jong-Fast argued that Republican vice presidential nominee Sen. J.D. Vance (R-Ohio) wants “more white kids,” which is why he spoke out about a 2021 policy led by “child-free cat ladies.”
Vance and his wife Usha are the parents of three mixed race children.
“So what’s interesting is that this natalism comes from an authoritarian approach, right?” John Fast says. “It’s about wanting more white kids, right? This is, you know, the Great Replacement Theory of racism, right? Don’t get me wrong, he wants more kids, which is kind of, you know, racist stuff.”
“So I definitely agree,” she added. “It’s really cruel to attack someone for not having children, right? Some people can’t have children, and some people want children but can’t take the chance. So I think it’s a really terrible way to attack someone.”
