In an interview on Fox News Channel’s “The Ingraham Angle” that aired Tuesday, Republican presidential candidate and former President Donald Trump expressed doubts about the legitimacy of Democrats’ decision to throw President Joe Biden out of the election in November.
The former president also said he didn’t believe Biden was aware of what was going on around him.
A partial transcript follows:
TRUMP: I’m the opposite of a threat to democracy. They are a threat to democracy. Look at what they’ve just done. They took the presidency. It was a coup. Biden is so angry right now. You know, they took the presidency. His wife didn’t want that. They took the presidency like he was a child.
INGRAHAM: Who do you think is making the decisions in the White House?TRUMP: It’s a bunch of fascists, communists, Marxists. They sit around a beautiful, determined desk in the Oval Office, just like they do in the Department of Justice. Some of them think Merrick Garland should be nominated. I’ve thought about it seriously.
Ingraham: He had a good reputation.
TRUMP: But at the end of the day, I had a lot of respect for him.
INGRAHAM: So you’re saying Biden hasn’t made any big decisions.
TRUMP: I don’t think so. I don’t think he knows he’s alive.
