Trump thanks woman who created chart that ‘saved his life’

Former President Trump spoke at a rally in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania on Wednesday and publicly thanked the woman who created the chart he was referring to when he was shot during an assassination attempt, saying she helped save his life.

Trump was nearly killed on July 13 at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, when a gunman opened fire from a rooftop. During his speech, Trump referred to a large chart showing immigration data, and when he turned his head slightly, a bullet grazed his ear.

On Wednesday, President Trump again spoke about immigration, specifically the border and human trafficking, bringing up his now-famous graph.

“That chart saved my life. Where is that chart? I love that chart,” Trump said. “I’m going to sleep with that chart for the rest of my life. That chart — you know what’s amazing? The people who run the computers, the people who run the amazing equipment behind the scenes.”

He then spoke about the woman who made the charts, calling her “great” and saying she should be on stage.

Trump called the woman onto the stage, and she did.

“She’s never done anything like this before. In a way, she saved my life,” Trump said. “You said she saved my life. And here she is. Amazing.”

Trump then whispered something in her ear, and she walked up to the microphone, said “hello” and walked off the stage.

“She’s a computer genius,” Trump added. “She saved my life.”
