Courtesy of PhRMA — The CDC has confirmed 13 cases of avian flu in the United States since March. Nine of the cases have been found in Colorado, with the most recent three confirmed last week. Officials say symptoms are mild, with conjunctivitis being the main symptom.

New Poll Shows Florida Abortion Amendment Wins Over Democrats

A new poll shows that a Florida abortion protection ballot initiative is gaining support, winning more support than Vice President Harris and Democratic Senate candidate Debbie Mucarsel-Powell. The poll, conducted by the Public Opinion Research Lab at the University of North Florida, found that 69% of respondents would vote for Amendment 4, which would ban laws that restrict or ban abortion.

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) — New Mexico officials announced Wednesday that recent unannounced inspections of nursing homes across New Mexico found at least one violation at 88% of the facilities. Just 11 of the 91 nursing homes received a perfect score, while 55 received a 90% rating, according to state health officials. Four nursing homes, two each in Albuquerque and New Mexico, were found to have violated the rules.
