Killian’s motive for the attack remains a mystery. He worked as a welder and appeared to be a generally good person who spoke fondly of his wife and children. Interviewing colleagues According to KRON 4, he had a “short temper” and was apparently unhappy that his in-laws had moved into his family home.

Killian’s Facebook page includes photos of him and his son playing tee-ball games and going on father-son fishing trips. Last September, he posted a love letter to his wife: “Happy wedding anniversary, my love. By God’s grace I found you, by God’s grace we have two beautiful children, and by God’s grace we hope to continue this life together for many more years to come.”
