Security video shows burglar leaving bizarre note during burglary of California business

Monitoring Record a video A robber broke into a Southern California store and left a strange note for the owner.

The video shows a man crawling across the floor into a Teriyaki Madness restaurant in San Fernando.

“Sorry! I need money for medicine.”

The man was seen stealing money from the register, then writing something on a note and leaving it on the counter.

KABC obtained video of the memo and Press On YouTube.

“Sorry! I need money for medicine. I won’t be coming back,” it said.

The San Fernando Police Department said it had collected notes and video evidence and believes the man may have committed other robberies in the area, where 10 businesses have been vandalized or robbed in the past few days, police said.

“It appears this individual has done similar things before,” San Fernando Police Chief Fabian Valdes said.

“It seems they covered their fingerprints and were very careful about what they touched,” he added.

The owner of a business called the Protein Stop said $500 was stolen from him by a man who resembled the man who stole money from his restaurant. Other businesses targeted included two taco restaurants, a coffee shop and two ice cream shops.

Police said they were investigating leads but had so far not identified any suspects in the crime spree.
