Broncos Legend Randy Gradishar Shares Gospel during Pro Football Hall of Fame Induction Speech

Former Denver Broncos linebacker Randy Gradishar dedicated his Pro Football Hall of Fame induction speech to Jesus Christ and shared the gospel with those in attendance. Sports SpectrumGradishar spoke extensively about his Christian faith during his Pro Football Hall of Fame induction ceremony in the Class of 2024. He said his first encounter with Christianity began when he was invited by two-time Heisman Trophy winner Archie Griffin to attend a Bible study group with the Union of Christian Athletes during his senior year at Ohio State University.

“I went to church as a child, but the gospel of salvation was not taught to me that night in 1974.” Said Grady Hair.

He described the gospel as “four simple truths” and gave a Bible citation for each point. The first point is that God created mankind in his own image (Genesis 1:27), and the second point is that the problem with humanity is that we have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23Third, despite our sin, God has made a way through Christ (John 3:16), and the fourth point is that salvation requires turning to God, accepting forgiveness, and accepting Christ as Savior.

“This is the only way we can get into a right relationship with God and live His plan for our lives, not ours,” Gradyshire continued.

The former linebacker said he gave his life to Christ at age 22 and credited it to “my precious prayer warriors Beth, Pastor Jeff and Kim, my cousins ​​Joe and Annie, my Bible study buddies Bob and Diana Blake, Dale Morris, Linda Rogers and her late husband Roger.”

“The greatest gift we can give and receive is prayer,” he said.

At the end of his speech, Gradyshire dedicated his induction to Christ.

“And today I dedicate my Pro Football Hall of Fame Class of 2024 to my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, who gave His life so that I might live a long life. Thank you, and God bless you,” he concluded.

Pro Football Hall of Fame WebsiteGradyshad was the 14th overall pick in the 1974 NFL Draft. In 1978, he received numerous honors, including AP NFL Defensive MVP/Player of the Year, First Team All-Pro, All-AFC and Pro Bowl selection.

He is also one of just 10 linebackers with at least seven Pro Bowl appearances, 20 interceptions and 10 fumble recoveries.

Gradyschard is the Broncos’ all-time leader in unofficial tackles with 2,049, ranking him second in NFL history behind Hall of Famer Ray Lewis.
