Sens. Kamala Harris and Tim Walz, in their first joint campaign rally in Philadelphia, called for a ban on AR-15s and other firearms that Democrats call “assault weapons.”
The two spent time together in Philadelphia, and Harris Said“I am officially [Democrat] “United States Presidential Candidate”
Immediately after the speech, Harris Explained Walz is a “gun owner” who believes “America needs reasonable gun safety laws.”
Walz stood behind Harris as she made her comments and clapped, and the crowd joined in with applause.
Harris explained how Walz enacted gun control measures as Minnesota governor, “and if we work together in November, we can finally pass universal background checks, red flag laws and an ‘assault weapons’ ban.”

Earlier Tuesday, Breitbart News noted that Walz wants the three core gun control measures that Joe Biden and Harris have been pushing for years in Washington, D.C. Those are the three gun controls that Harris outlined tonight in Philadelphia: universal background checks, red flag laws, and a ban on AR-15s and other firearms that Democrats call “assault weapons.”
