The Angels are in good form going into their series against the Yankees after winning two of three straight games against the Mets, but they face an unexpected result in a tough matchup against Luis Gil on Wednesday.
Gil has been playing well since the start of July, but to make matters worse, the Angels have only managed one hit against him in 23 at-bats.
Gil has had a great second half of the MLB season.
While he wasn’t perfect last time out against the Phillies, his overall numbers over the past month have been good (30 strikeouts in 23 innings, 2.35 ERA, 1.00 WHIP).
Offensively, the Yankees should continue to perform well.
The Yankees will provide Gill with plenty of scoring support, and he should be able to slice through the Angels.
Play: Yankees F5 -1.5 (-110, Caesars)
