It was exactly the way I didn’t want practice to end.
Falcons wide receiver Rondale Moore was carried off the field on a stretcher with an apparent leg injury, forcing the team to cancel Wednesday’s joint practice with the Dolphins.
Moore is Later seen in an aircastsuffered a non-contact injury after collapsing in the left corner late in the play in the end zone.
He was taken for further evaluation and the Falcons have not yet commented on Moore’s injury.
Falcons quarterback Kirk Cousins, speaking with the media, said the team was praying for Moore.
“Hopefully, everything will work out fine, but like everybody else, we’re just waiting for more information,” Grady Jarrett said. According to Sports Illustrated“It’s always tough to see a player go down. It’s unexpected and heartbreaking, but nothing more heartbreaking than this. But first and foremost you worry about that person’s wellbeing.”
Moore, 24, was acquired from the Cardinals by Atlanta in May in exchange for quarterback Desmond Ridder, the Falcons’ 2022 third-round draft pick.
Moore has been practicing as the fourth wide receiver behind Drake London, Darnell Mooney and RayRay McCloud III.
The Purdue University product appeared in just eight games in 2022 due to injury and had a disappointing 2023 season for the Cardinals.

He played in all 17 games and recorded just 40 catches for 352 yards and one touchdown, while Cardinals starting quarterback Kyler Murray played in just eight games after returning from a torn ACL.
The Falcons enter the season with a lot of optimism under first-year head coach Raheem Morris, after signing Cousins as a free agent and seeing the emergence of London and running back Bijan Robinson.
If Moore is out for an extended period of time, the receiver corps will undoubtedly need more depth.
