Israel is on heightened alert following reports of imminent attacks by the terrorist group Hezbollah, separate from plans for retaliatory attacks by its ally Tehran.

Hezbollah’s senior military commander, Fuad Shukr, was recently killed by Israeli forces, prompting the group to respond swiftly in retaliation.
CNN Insiders claim Hezbollah is unlikely to wait for orders from its Iranian military allies before attacking.
The country shares a southern border with Israel, meaning Lebanon-based terrorist groups could “attack at any time”, causing great anxiety in Israeli communities.
Meanwhile, Iran appears to still be formulating comprehensive plans for how to retaliate against the recent Israeli assassination of its ally.
It is unclear whether Iran and Hezbollah are aligned on a potential response.
Lebanese newspaper front page Al-Akhbar The paper suggested the group was preparing an attack on Tel Aviv that could result in large numbers of civilian casualties.
The paper’s editor-in-chief, Ibrahim Al-Amin, argued that attacks that caused Israeli civilian casualties were justified because the Israeli airstrike that killed Shukr also caused civilian casualties on the Israeli side.
Meanwhile, Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant spoke about the possibility of attacks by Hezbollah, issuing a stern warning that Hezbollah would pay a heavy price for any escalation of attacks against the Jewish state.
