President Biden hosted the reigning World Series champions, the Texas Rangers, at the White House on Thursday.

The president cracked a few jokes as he walked into the East Room of the White House. Biden also complimented Rangers pitcher Nathan Eovaldi on his suit, saying, “Nice one, Nathan.”

After Biden gave some comments about the Rangers’ championship season, manager Bruce Bochy presented him with a custom jersey, which Biden then held up for a photo, and Bochy also presented the president with a pair of cowboy boots.

After a moment, Biden asked, “So, what do I do now?” and his guests and players laughed.

Following his apparently joking remarks, the president asked a military aide who approached him if he was trying to steal one of the gifts he had received.

“Are you going to steal my jersey?” he asked, then smiled before finally handing over the personalized gift.

“Distinguished guests, please remain in your seats as the President leaves the room,” the emcee announced. Biden left the stage to greet two children seated in the front row.

The president then faced the Rangers players, gave them a military salute, turned and walked out of the room.
