Appearing as a guest on WTOP-FM, Northam said the intense reaction to the bill has been “really overblown.”

As for late-term abortions, they are of course performed with the consent of the mother and the doctor (several doctors, by the way) and are performed in cases where there is a possibility of severe birth defects or the fetus is not viable.
Northam added:
If the mother goes into labor, I can tell you exactly what will happen: the baby is born, the baby is kept comfortable, if that is what the mother and family wish, the baby is resuscitated, and then a discussion takes place between the doctor and the mother.
Northam later said his comments had been “misinterpreted” by the media but refused to backtrack.

“This guy agrees with that,” Trump said of Waltz.
Walz has described himself as so strongly pro-life that even former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) suggested he “tone it down.”
Governor Tim Walz has been so extreme on abortion that Nancy Pelosi once told him he needed to “soften up” and become more moderate.

Trump was 💯% right. Post-birth abortion is real, and Harris-Waltz supports it. At least five babies have been born alive after botched abortions and left to die on Waltz’s watch. Today I accidentally voted for HR 4712. It was an honest mistake. I intended to vote no, just like I did for this exact same bill in the last Congress. I apologize for any confusion. I will continue to fight for women’s access to health care. #Patients come before politics

” [Harris] “And for him, nothing like this has ever happened before,” Trump said.
Trump also reiterated his position that abortion laws should be left to the states, and said he supported exceptions for rape, incest and the life of the mother.
“Everybody wanted to bring that back to the United States, and I made that happen,” he said, referring to the appointment of three conservative Supreme Court justices who ultimately played a role in overturning the ruling. Roe v. WadeThe 1973 ruling created a constitutional right to abortion.
“States are voting right now, and frankly, some of the results are a lot more liberal than you would expect,” he said of abortion bills presented to voters across the country. “Ohio had a big turnout, and it turned out a lot more liberal than people would expect. Same in Kansas. And then it could be different in Texas and other states.”
