Kenneth Copeland Under Fire for Celebrating Bentley with Breitling Clock Seed Offering from Dying Man

Televangelist Kenneth Copeland recently told the story of a dying man who gave his Bentley, fitted with a Breitling watch, as a seed offering in hopes of having God heal him, but then died. Last Monday, Copeland spoke at Kenneth Copeland Ministries’ annual Southwest Believers Conference, held in Fort Worth, Texas, from July 29 to Aug. 3. Breitling WatchesHe owns around 36 popular watches.

How to Walk by Faith, Not by SightTwo Mondays ago, Kenneth showed off the diamond-encrusted Breitling watch on his left wrist to a man sitting in the front row.

“Do you think that’s pretty?” Copeland asked one man. “It’s a Breitling. It has diamonds around the rim. Someone gave it to me.”

Par The Christian Standt, Copeland explained that he was giving the Breitling watch as a sowing gift, adding that he and Pat Robertson, the late founder of the Christian Broadcasting Network and host of “The 700 Club,” had a “tradition” of giving each other Breitlings.

He also said that his friend, Grammy and Dove Award-winning artist Myron Lefebvre, had given him the Bentley with a Breitling watch because he “believed that God could heal” him from his illness. The watch is the 37th in Copeland’s collection.

“Wow! Thank you Bentley…um…Jesus!” Copeland said.

In 2022, Bentley equipped its Bentayga models with a $230,000 Breitling watch. At the time, website HotCars reported that the addition of the diamond and gold watch “nearly doubles the starting price of the new Bentayga.”

Justin Peters, a biblical scholar who has spoken out against the World Faiths Movement and the New Apostolic Reformation, response Copeland’s message.

“Kenneth Copeland knows full well that the people listening to him aren’t there to hear him explain things to them; they’re coming for promises of health and wealth,” Peters said. “And there are a lot of sick people listening to him — not just at this convention, but all over the world. They’re sick, some of them dying. Some of them have children who are sick, children who are dying.

“The bigger the miracle you need, the bigger the money you need to sow,” Peters added, warning Copeland to repent out of fear of God’s judgment.

“Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven,” Peters said, reading from the Bible. Matthew 7:21-23“Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name cast out demons, and in your name perform many miracles?’ But then I will say to them, ‘I never knew you! Depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.'”

Peters said he did not hate Copeland but felt “righteous indignation” at the televangelist’s “audacity” in speaking out about Lefebvre. Died Even though last year he offered a seed for healing.

“Kenneth Copeland is an evil, dark man. He hates you, and the only person he hates more than he hates you is God,” Peters declared. “Enjoy your Bentley, Mr. Copeland. … May God have mercy on you.”
