Alyssa Farah Griffin: Trump Mar-a-Lago presser an 'absolute dumpster fire'

Former White House communications director Alyssa Farah Griffin on Friday slammed President Trump’s lengthy Thursday press conference, arguing that the Republican presidential nominee was hurting himself.

“This was, quite frankly, a really bad press conference,” Farrah Griffin told CNN’s Kate Bolduin on “CNN News Central.” In the highlighted clip From Mediaite.

President Trump held a lengthy press conference at his Mar-a-Lago resort on Thursday, during which he discussed audience size, abortion and other topics. When asked if he was afraid of the size of Vice President Harris’ audience, he appeared annoyed and got defensive.

“Come on, come on,” Trump said. “Look, there were 107,000 in New Jersey and you didn’t report it. I’m so glad you asked. Were there 2,000 yesterday?”

In response to Trump’s comments about the size of the crowd, Farrah Griffin said, “Trump is angry because he’s actually running against a celebrity candidate, a celebrity candidate who is like a pop culture celebrity.” [following.]”

“That was something he opposed. [former Secretary of State] “It’s the same as Hillary Clinton in 2016,” added Farrah Griffin, a frequent critic of Trump.

The Harris campaign said 14,000 people attended a rally in Philadelphia on Tuesday and 15,000 attended one in Detroit on Wednesday night.

Nationally, Harris is trailing Trump by 0.2 points, according to an average of national polls by The Hill/Decision Desk.
