Actor Gabriel Olds was arrested Wednesday and charged with seven felony counts of sexual assault. Criminal Minds, NCISand Law & OrderA man who appeared on shows such as “The Idiots” was also accused of using his fame to lure victims.
Olds, who is currently being held on $3.5 million bail, used his fame and status as a Yale University graduate to lure victims he found on dating apps, according to the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD). Report From Fox News.
Authorities initially identified the 41-year-old woman as CSI In January 2023, the actress was accused of raping her at her home. Two more women have since come forward claiming to have been in similar situations, dating back to 2013.
According to Fox News, all of the victims described “consensual dates that escalated into violent sexual assaults.”
On July 19th, a warrant was issued for Olds’ arrest. Unsolved Cases The actor was taken into custody on Wednesday.
“We’ve heard the same story over and over,” Detective Brent Hopkins said, “Mr. Olds was charming at first, but then he used brutal force to carry out the rape.”
“Some of the victims have suffered in silence for years before they found the courage to speak out,” Hopkins added. “Now that he’s off the streets, we want to ensure everyone has the opportunity to have their voice heard.”
Investigators believe there may be more victims, given Olds’ Hollywood career and the likelihood that many of his alleged crimes were successful, and are urging anyone with more information to come forward.
