I know this movie will be showing for the next 50 years.
Following the premiere of Horizon: An American Saga Chapter 1, Territory Pictures and New Line Cinema decided to delay the release of the sequel “to give audiences a greater opportunity to see the first Horizon film in the coming weeks, including on PVOD and Max.”
The first film in the Horizon series grossed just $23 million in its first two weeks in theaters, and the studio had originally planned to release the first two films back-to-back, but apparently changed its mind after poor box office results.

“Audiences’ response to Horizon and their eagerness to see the continuation of our story in Horizon 2 has been incredibly gratifying,” Territory Pictures told Fox News Digital in a statement. “Kevin made this film for people who love movies and want to go on a journey.”
“The support we’ve received from moviegoers and theater owners experiencing this first chapter of our story only strengthens our belief in them and the film we’ve made, and we thank them for joining us on this journey. We welcome the opportunity to expand, as we know it will only enhance the experience of watching Horizon 2.”

Costner invested $38 million of his own money into the first movie, he said. GQFilming for the third movie has already begun.
“I know people are saying I have $20 million of my own money in this movie,” he revealed, “that’s not true. I have like $38 million in this movie right now, that’s the truth. That’s the real number.”
