Hillary Clinton Attempts to Rescue Tim Walz After Stolen Valor Claims

Hillary Clinton, who once falsely claimed to have been shot in Bosnia, tried to rescue Democratic vice presidential nominee Tim Walz, governor of Minnesota.

Waltz has faced intense scrutiny for exaggerating his military service and choosing to retire after learning the unit in which he was a senior enlisted leader was being deployed to Iraq.

“Tim Walz served honorably for 20 years before joining Congress and helping to pass new veterans benefits legislation that will help millions of veterans, including J.D. Vance, fund their college educations,” Clinton wrote on X on Monday.

The posts do not mention that for the past 20 years, Waltz falsely claimed to be a retired Army sergeant major, when in fact he retired at a lower rank.

Her post also did not address the false claim that Waltz, who has never served in combat, carried a weapon “in a war.”

The post also fails to mention that Waltz took early retirement from his military contract just months before deploying to Iraq.

Clinton has turned off replies to this post, as well as other recent posts about X.

Since Vice President Kamala Harris selected Waltz as her running mate, he has been bombarded with questions about his military service, even though he has touted it throughout his political career since being elected to Congress in 2006.

He also falsely claimed he was the highest ranking senior member to ever enlist in the U.S. Congress.

He has alluded on multiple occasions to having deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan, and did not correct himself when falsely claimed to have been to either location.

The Harris-Waltz campaign only addressed one of the claims Waltz made in the video, that he carried a weapon in a “war.” The Harris campaign actually posted the video to its X account before the false claims about Waltz’s military record became a scandal.
