Minneapolis – A former federal prosecutor in Minneapolis who prosecuted George Floyd rioters told Fox News Digital that Gov. Tim Walz’s record as governor on this issue and several others, including fraud, makes him “ineligible” to become vice president of the United States.
“Kamala Harris is trying to turn Minnesota and our country into San Francisco and California, and we absolutely don’t want that. She’s taken that even further by fielding the most radical left presidential candidate in American history,” Joe Tailove, a former assistant U.S. attorney and Republican candidate for Minnesota’s 2nd Congressional District, told Fox News Digital.
Teyrab, who served in the Marines and whose father is an immigrant from Sudan, told Fox News Digital that Walz’s response to the devastating 2020 riots that destroyed hundreds of buildings and caused hundreds of millions of dollars in damage shows he is unfit to be vice president.
“I spent four years as a federal prosecutor trying to put bad guys in prison all over Minnesota, including Tim Walz, who couldn’t lift a finger for days during the George Floyd riots and literally burned the city,” Taylove said. “And at the same time, Kamala Harris was raising money for the Minnesota Freedom Fund and releasing on bail a criminal who committed murder a few weeks later. My job at the time was to actually put these arsonists in prison.”

“I actually prosecuted two criminals who threw a Molotov cocktail at the courthouse in the district where I campaign. I also prosecuted two people who tried to set a small store on fire. So it makes no sense to me that this could happen. As long as Tim Walz and Kamala Harris are in power, we can’t let this happen in our country,” Tailab added.
“Everyone in Minnesota” was affected by the 2020 riots, Tailove explained.
““There were riots every day, and everyone on the news and watching the news at home was like, ‘Where are our leaders?'” Tairab said. “Where are our government officials? Where is Tim Walz? He’s nowhere to be found.”
Tailove rejected the common media perception that Walz is a “moderate” and told Fox News Digital that his concerns are his inability to crack down on fraud in Minnesota.

““I think he’s kind of a caricature of the gruff, middle-of-the-road guy that people on the coast imagine, and that couldn’t be further from the truth,” Tailove said.
“His record in Minnesota shows he was a terrible steward of government resources,” Tailove continued. “Sadly, he allowed a lot of fraud to occur. As a federal prosecutor, my job was to root out waste, fraud and misconduct. I had the honor of working on the Feeding Our Future case, where crooks stole over $250 million of taxpayers’ hard-earned money, yet Tim Walz slept with the switch. This is unacceptable, and it’s clear he is unfit to be vice president.”

Seventy people have been indicted in connection with a fraud scheme that resulted in the loss of $250 million from the Minnesota Department of Education’s “Feeding Our Future” program, a federally funded food assistance program designed to provide free meals to eligible children and adults, between 2022 and 2024.
Fox News Digital reached out to the Harris-Waltz campaign for comment but did not receive a response.
Tailove, who will face Democratic Rep. Angie Craig in Minnesota’s 2nd Congressional District this November, told Fox News Digital that Craig is a “seal of approval” from the Biden administration. Tailove detailed what issues are most important to voters in her district:

“ “The big issue is definitely the economy and prices,” Tailove said. “I mean, everybody has to go to the grocery store, pay for their groceries, pay their electricity bill, go to the gas station. That’s the No. 1 issue. And then sadly, at this point, we have Bidennomics, which is terrible, and Angie Craig, who I’m running against, has always been a supporter of Bidennomics.”
“The facts are this: Angie Craig voted against the Biden Administration 30% of the time last year, putting her in the top 3% of bipartisan Senators. Her record speaks for itself,” a Craig campaign spokesperson said in a statement to Fox News Digital.
