Miami Dolphins defensive back Tyreek Hill slammed Olympic sprinter Noah Lyles for announcing he had COVID-19 during the Paris Games.
Lyles won her first Olympic gold medal this year by winning the 100 meters, but finished third in the 200 meters after announcing she would compete while infected with COVID-19.
But the NFL star seems to think the Olympians were just using their COVID diagnoses as an excuse, and Hill is confident he can beat world-class sprinters in a foot race.
Hill also took issue with comments made by Lyles that an NBA team is not a “world champion” if it wins the NBA championship.
When he appeared The Kay Adams ShowHill slammed Lyles.
“Noah Lyles can’t say anything after what just happened,” Hill exclaimed, “and then he goes out and wants to pretend he’s sick. I think that’s like wasabi. He does that and says, let’s talk about something you know, it’s track, as if we’re not world champions in this sport.”
“I will beat Noah Lyles… I won’t win by a large margin, but I will beat Noah Lyles. If I beat him, I’m going to wear a COVID mask and let him know I mean it.”

Yet Fox News ReportedHill may be one of the fastest sprinters in the NFL, but he might need to work a bit harder if he thinks he can beat Lyles in the 100 meters. The Olympian ran the 100 meters in 9.79 seconds to win the gold medal, while Hill only ran 10.19 seconds in high school.
