Democratic strategist James Carville said on a podcast on Thursday that Republicans position themselves as pro-Israel because there are more white Jews than Palestinians.
More than 70% of Republicans and Republican-leaning independents have a positive view of Israel, but only 44% of Democrats and Democratic-leaning independents share this view.
