Tim Walz slammed for ‘white guy tacos’ joke

He can’t stand the heat.

Democratic vice presidential candidate Tim Walz has come under fire for trying to make himself more relatable by boasting about his love of plain “white man’s tacos,” even though critics point out that Walz has never shied away from spicy food in the past.

“I have white guy tacos,” the 60-year-old former football coach said coyly during a meeting with vice presidential candidate Kamala Harris. Published on YouTube On Thursday.

When pressed by Harris, Waltz took the awkward joke a step further, explaining that Average Joe’s food is “mostly ground beef and cheese,” and claiming that it’s not seasoned.

“Um, no. Here’s the thing. No, I was told to be careful and let her know that in Minnesota, black pepper is the hottest level,” he announced to the room.

Its attempts to gain sympathy were panned by critics.

“This isn’t cute,” said Fox News columnist David Marcus. I wrote to X.

“Walz is being used as a clown to mock white people. If Walz doesn’t like spicy food, that’s fine, but it has nothing to do with him being white,” he said of the governor’s comments.

Marcus also claimed Waltz was chosen as the Harris campaign’s “dumb, submissive sitcom dad.”

Another commenter wrote Waltz “It falsely exploits every stereotype of ‘white people.'” I tried to “please” diversity.

Right-wing media personality Michael Cernovich said: Digging up evidence Waltz actually won a recipe contest in 2016 with her recipe for taco casserole, which uses paprika and chili powder.

“Wow. My gut reaction was, hmm, maybe Tim Waltz is lying about Minnesotans not seasoning their food,” Cernovich wrote to X.

Alt-right activist Jack Posobiec also dug up Walz’s obvious lies, re-sharing the governor’s own post about his “pretty nasty hot dish.”

“It’s a strange thing to lie, but for a man who has lied about driving under the influence, lied about being a retired Army sergeant, lied about carrying a weapon in war, and gleefully encouraged and promoted books and articles falsely claiming to be a combat veteran, it is simply natural to lie,” author Jerry Dunleavy agreed, referring to fierce criticism of Waltz’s comments about his military history.

Even one of the governor’s fans was a bit disgusted.

“As someone who loves Tim Walz but also loves savory food, I have to say that in Minnesota, black pepper is far from the hottest flavor.” Journalist Brian Shea commented:.
