Former President Donald Trump recently met with Tulsi Gabbard in preparation for his upcoming debate with US border chief and Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris.
It is unclear when Trump and Gabbard recently met. The New York TimesThe news site, which first reported on their meeting, said Gabbard had taken part in a “practice session” with Trump at Mar-a-Lago to discuss debate strategy.
Harris appeared so taken aback by the attacks from the left that she was never able to get her campaign back on track: She withdrew before the Iowa caucuses.
Trump campaign spokeswoman Caroline Leavitt acknowledged Trump and Gabbard’s recent collaboration but denied the notion that the former president was actively involved in debate preparations.
“President Trump has proven himself to be one of the greatest debaters in political history, as evidenced by his knockout of Joe Biden,” Leavitt said. statement“While he won’t need traditional debate preparation, he will still meet with respected policy advisers and talented communicators like Tulsi Gabbard, who outshone Kamala Harris on the debate stage.”

Harris appeared so taken aback by the attacks from the left that she was unable to get her campaign back on track: She withdrew from the 2020 primary before the Iowa caucuses.
Harris similarly did not receive any votes in the 2024 primary for the presidential election, but will still be the Democratic nominee after Joe Biden dropped out of running for a second term last month.
Trump and Harris are scheduled to face off in at least one debate in the coming weeks, but Harris’s campaign seems unsure about participating in any others.
According to The HillTrump and Harris have both agreed to debate on ABC News on September 10. The outlet also claimed that Trump had committed to debate on Fox News on September 4 and NBC News on September 25, but a statement from Harris’ campaign suggested she had not agreed to any other debates in September.
“Assuming Donald Trump does in fact attend the debate with Vice President Harris on September 10, Governor Walz will meet with J.D. Vance on October 1 and the American people will have one more opportunity to see the Vice President and Donald Trump on the debate stage in October,” campaign communications director Michael Tyler said in a statement.
