Three things to watch in Jets’ second preseason game

Here’s what to watch in Saturday’s second preseason game between the Jets and Panthers.

1. First-round draft pick Olu Fashanu will likely see the bulk of this game at right tackle after playing left tackle last week.

The Jets are hoping Fashanu won’t have to play at all during the regular season and will just have to watch over Tyron Smith and Morgan Moses, but they are setting him up to play both left and right wing.

2. The Jets will have some interesting roster decisions to make on the defensive line.

Former first-round draft pick Takk McKinley has performed well in training camp and could make the team.

He’ll need to perform well in the preseason games.

Jalyn Holmes is also a notable edge rusher who has a chance to earn that final roster spot.

3. Rookie running backs Braylon Allen and Isaiah Davis had strong debuts last week against Washington.

The Jets are encouraged by the performances of their two rookies and will look for them to continue to impress in the big game against the Panthers.
