‘You Will Be Undefeated Even if You Don’t Win Every Game’

President Kamala Harris spoke about what it means to lead by example to her high school football team, adding that part of being a leader is knowing you’re “undefeated” even if you don’t win a game.

“Being a role model isn’t easy. Welcome to the Role Model Club. Being a role model means that you are what your family, your neighbors, your peers, your classmates want you to see them do,” Harris told the team. “What does that kind of excellence require? What does it take to be a winning team? And you’re all taking on the responsibility of being role models and inspiring people who don’t even know you but are watching to see how you succeed.”

And that’s what makes our country stronger,” Harris added.

Harris addressed the high school football team alongside her running mate, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz (D), and her husband, Doug Emhoff.
