Former Planned Parenthood president Cecile Richards said women being able to abort their fetuses is “unstoppable” during a speech at the Democratic National Convention in Chicago on Wednesday night.
“If women are free to make decisions about their lives and pursue their dreams, we will be unstoppable. Roe v. Wade “The Constitution has been overturned and a generation of young people has lost their freedom,” he said. From 2006 to 2018, she was affiliated with Planned Parenthood Federation of America and the National Planned Parenthood Action Fund.
Richards then While celebrating the birth of her own grandchild, she appeared to suggest that the baby born to the daughter of a 12-year-old rape victim in Mississippi should have been aborted.
“Like Ashley, the 12-year-old rape victim in Mississippi, who started seventh grade with her newborn baby because abortion was banned in her state. That’s the Republican promise of states’ rights,” Richards said.

“Last year, I became a grandmother, and throughout my daughter’s pregnancy, nothing was more important than her health. Politics should not get in the way of anyone’s medical care or prevent my family from experiencing the joy that my grandson, Teddy, has brought into my life,” she continued, calling for the election of Kamala Harris, who has refused to mention the abortion restrictions she supports.
Ms Richards revealed in January that she had brain cancer but said she would continue to fight for an abortion while battling the disease.

The Democratic Party and Planned Parenthood have a longstanding alliance, the political arm of the abortion giant funds candidates, Democratic lawmakers work relentlessly to pass abortion laws across the country, and despite abortion restrictions passed across the country, abortions have actually increased since the Supreme Court overturned abortion bans. Roe v. Wade.

Planned Parenthood organizations across the U.S. are currently working in about a dozen states to put abortion on the ballot, a measure that would enshrine the right to abortion in each state’s constitution, which Democrats hope will boost voter turnout and tilt the election in their favor.
Planned Parenthood Great Rivers also estimates it will perform 25 free abortions this week through a mobile “wellness” clinic outside the Democratic National Convention.
