Democratic vice presidential nominee Tim Walz has said Vice President Kamala Harris “owes it to the American people” to explain what she would do if elected president, but she has yet to announce her campaign pledges.
Speaking to the Democratic National Convention audience on Wednesday, Walz outlined Harris’s plans for the presidential run and encouraged people to “save and send” excerpts from his speech to their undecided relatives.
“We have a chance to make Kamala Harris the next president of the United States,” Walz told the crowd, “but before we ask for her vote, I think we owe it to the American people to tell them exactly what she would do if she were president.”
