The rich and famous love to tell middle-class Americans how they should live and who they should vote for, and sadly, that once-funny guy, Ben Stiller, is no exception.
“What could be better than a Hollywood celebrity saying something?” Dave Rubin of The Rubin Report commented before playing footage of Stiller speaking at a Kamala fundraiser. Stiller said nothing.
“I’m really excited about the possibility of actually winning this election,” Stiller began. “What’s happened over the last few weeks is that the tide has really turned, and you know, if we all come together and we harness this incredible energy, Vice President Harris can actually win this election.”
“I just want a decent person in the White House — someone who puts democracy above themselves, who doesn’t lie, who doesn’t stoke anger and resentment, who cares about people. And that’s what Kamala Harris is,” he continued.
Stiller went on to praise her, saying she “seems human” and “acts like a human.”
“She has empathy and humour and when she laughs it’s beautiful because she’s a real human being who responds to things,” he said in a rather delusional tone.
Stiller tried to talk policy, saying Kamala “want to end gun violence in this country” and “will fight for a woman’s right to choose.”
It seemed like his confused and ignorant speech couldn’t get any worse, but it did.
“I’m Jewish and Irish and I wish I was black. All the white Jewish guys wish they were black,” he joked, adding, “Just go out and vote, donate and give yourself an advantage.”
