Man accused of decapitating parents sings Tina Turner after being shot: video

Shocking footage shows a California man accused of decapitating his parents and their dog being shot and killed by police, then lying bleeding on the ground and belting out Tina Turner’s “What’s Love Got to Do With It.”

Orange County sheriff’s deputies were responding to a gruesome murder scene in San Juan Capistrano on July 9 when they discovered Joseph Guardville on the street outside San Juan Mobile Estates.

Police said the headless bodies of the parents, Ronald Gardville, 77, and Antoinette Gardville, 79, had just been discovered inside the mobile home, along with the dismembered remains of a dog.

One of the heads was on display on the counter. According to CBS News.

Authorities said Gardville was seen shortly thereafter apparently attacking a maintenance worker and, when police approached, he was found covered in blood, slurring his words and throwing a heavy shovel at them.

When the deputy ordered Gardville to step back, Gardville lunged at him and the officer fired five shots at him from about 10 feet away.

The first three shots appeared to have little effect on the 41-year-old man, but after the fourth shot he fell to the ground and blood began to flow from his wound.

Police were quickly dispatched and began tending to Gardville, but his already erratic behavior began to take a truly bizarre turn.

“I love you… I’m sorry you had to die,” he said once.

“Just kill me,” he said after a few seconds. “Just put one bullet in my head, please. I beg of you.”

Meanwhile, officers rushed to cover the wound and stop the bleeding until emergency services arrived.

Then Gardvil began to sing a love song.

“What’s that to do with love? Is love just a second-hand feeling?” he sang of the 1984 Tina Turner hit.

Gardville then moved on to Stevie Wonder.

“I just called to tell you I love you,” he sang from his 1984 song of the same name.

The suspect was rushed to a nearby hospital and is in stable condition.

He is charged with two counts of murder in the deaths of his parents.
