5 dead in Long Island murder-suicide just days after matriarch’s death with kin set to sell home

“This appears to be a murder-suicide,” Nassau County Police Chief Patrick Ryder told Newsday at the scene. “We do know that the suspect was in the front yard and committed suicide with a gunshot wound.”
