Teen killed in horrific boating accident on Jersey Shore

A New Jersey teenage girl was killed this weekend after being struck by a propeller while attempting to board a boat in a horrific accident off the New Jersey coast, police said.

Zeina Mahafza, 18, died around 4:30 p.m. as she was trying to exit a raft onto a boat docked in Sunset Park on Long Beach Island, New Jersey State Police said in a statement.

Police said the boy, from Wayne, was “fatally injured” by the propeller but did not provide further details.
