Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg revealed that Facebook removed the article about Hunter Biden's laptop after the FBI “warned” it of a “possible Russian disinformation operation”, and acknowledged that “we shouldn't have downgraded the story”.
In a letter to Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio), chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, Zuckerberg wrote: Written Facebook after receiving a warning from the FBI about a possible “Russian disinformation campaign” about President Joe Biden's family New York Post.
In response to an article about “corruption allegations” about the Biden family, Facebook “sent the article to fact checkers” and temporarily downgraded it.
“It has since become clear that this report was not Russian disinformation, and in retrospect, we should not have downgraded this news story,” Zuckerberg added. “We have changed our policies and processes to ensure this never happens again. For example, we will no longer temporarily downgrade articles in the US while we wait for fact checkers.”
Mark Zuckerberg acknowledged three things:
1. The Biden-Harris Administration has “pressured” Facebook to censor Americans.
2. Facebook censors Americans.
3. Facebook suppressed the story about Hunter Biden's laptop.

Zuckerberg's admission comes after Breitbart News political editor Emma Jo Morris previously testified before the House Select Subcommittee on Weaponization of the Federal Government that the FBI knew about Hunter Biden's laptop's authenticity before December 2019, long before she published an article about it in October 2020.
Meta's CEO explained that the FBI had “warned” him about a possible “Russian disinformation operation on the Biden family.” New York Post The company “demoted” the story after it published a story about “alleged corruption” involving the Biden family.

“The FBI warned us about possible Russian disinformation operations related to the Biden family and Burisma in the run-up to the 2020 election,” Zuckerberg wrote. “That fall, New York Post Regarding a story reporting corruption allegations involving the family of then-Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden, we had the story reviewed by a fact-checker and temporarily demoted it while we waited for a response.”
As Breitbart News previously reported, “Despite the FBI being aware of the laptop's existence and having been in frequent contact with Twitter and Facebook officials before the 2020 election, when Morris first reported on the laptop, Twitter and Facebook censored the story and its sharing by Americans, citing potential Russian disinformation.”
