Dramatic video shows a Cirque du Soleil aerial hoop artist lose his grip during a stunt and plummet to the ground with no safety net to protect him from the fall.

Ten-year-old Benjamin Goldstein was filming the aerial performer with his sister and father, but, like many in the audience, said he wasn't sure if her fall was “part of the show” when she fell.
“At first I thought it was part of the show. It seemed like they were doing it on purpose,” Goldstein told KOIN 6 News.
“But people were acting weird. I was like, oh, this isn't part of the show, there's something going on.”
A 10-year-old boy said he saw Konfectova fall face-first onto the stage. “She appeared to have hit her nose and was bleeding but she kept her head up and remained still,” he said.
