David Plouffe, who ran President Barack Obama's 2008 campaign and advised Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg's controversial “Zuckerbucks” effort in 2020, is now advising Vice President Kamala Harris' campaign.
a Report In early August, it was reported that Harris had brought several veteran Obama administration officials, including Plouffe, onto her team, and many observers noted that her messaging has improved markedly since then, including her emphasis on “joy” as a way to explain her odd laugh and making it a central focus of the party at last week's Democratic National Convention.
Plouffe advised Zuckerberg's nonprofit, the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative, when it donated $350 million to the “Secure Elections” project. Zuckerberg reiterated his 2022 promise not to repeat the donation in the 2024 election, given the negative public reactions.
