Mississippi Reveals State Spends $100M a Year Caring for Migrants

A Mississippi state auditor's report found the state spends more than $100 million a year caring for migrants, a spending spree that Republican Gov. Tate Reeves called a “deliberate failure” by the Biden-Harris administration.

of Report They claim there are more than 22,000 illegal immigrants in the Magnolia State. cost According to Fox News, the cost of raising immigrant children is rising every year, especially the cost of providing them with a free education.

The report found that taxpayers spend $25 million to provide education for immigrant children, $77 million on immigrant health care, and at least $1.7 million to incarcerate illegal immigrants who are arrested and convicted of crimes.

Reeves, a Republican, slammed the Biden-Harris administration and Democrats for making the situation worse, saying, “The Biden-Harris Administration's deliberate failure to secure our border is forcing states to take responsibility and pay the price, and Mississippi is no exception.”

“Their dangerous immigration policies are putting Americans at risk and imposing huge financial burdens on states across the country, and it is long past time to put an end to this,” Reeves blasted.

He further noted that Harris has already failed for four years, so electing her for another four years would be a huge mistake and would only make things worse.

“Kamala Harris is clearly incompetent to solve the border problems this administration has created for itself. She has been a huge failure as border secretary and has actually made the situation worse. Border security begins with the election of Donald Trump in November,” he said.

Mississippi State Auditor Shad White added that the illegal immigration problem is “out of control and costing taxpayers millions of dollars.”

“If this problem isn't fixed, our public schools, hospitals and prisons will continue to lose huge amounts of money that could be used to serve our people,” White exclaimed.

White also noted that it's impossible to pin down a more precise figure because schools are prohibited from reporting how many undocumented immigrant children they serve. Using figures from the University of Mississippi, the auditors estimated that at least 2,500 undocumented immigrant children are enrolled in state schools, a calculation that includes increased spending on English language learners and low-income students.

The auditors also warned that actual expenditures are likely to be higher than the $100 million estimate, given that precise figures are not available.

WATCH — Former Obama ICE Director: Whether Harris was an “emperor” or not, she “owns” parts of the “untenable” border that remain in place under Biden:

Hurt by accusations of failure on the border, Kamala Harris recently began to claim that she supports the completion of Donald Trump's border wall. However, despite this brief phrase that seems like a policy shift, in reality, she is linking this claim to the passage of the Democratic Party's “border security bill,” which has little support and is unlikely to pass Congress.

Harris has also openly supported a massive amnesty for 30 million illegal immigrants, which would suddenly grant citizenship and voting rights to people who broke the law to enter the United States.

Sen. J.D. Vance of Ohio, President Donald Trump's running mate, blasted Harris as a “fake” and noted that if Harris wants a border wall, she and Biden could start building it right now, with or without a border security bill.
