Horrifying security camera footage shows a tourist walking along a busy street in Malaysia suddenly getting sucked into a sinkhole, plummeting 26ft underground and sparking a frantic search for a woman who remains missing.
Rescuers have been working around the clock to find Vijaya Lakshmi, 48, after she disappeared into a huge sinkhole in central Kuala Lumpur last Friday while walking to a nearby temple and local outlets. Malay Mail reported.
The horrifying security camera footage shows Lakshmi, a visitor from India, going for a walk without knowing what was going on when the sidewalk suddenly gave way and she fell into a huge square hole.

The footage showed at least one man sitting nearby also narrowly escaping being engulfed.
Shortly after Lakshmi disappeared, a group of people believed to be her relatives were seen desperately peering into the hole.
So far, searchers have reportedly used ground-penetrating radar to search for the woman, but have only been able to find her shoes underground.
Rescue crews began using powerful water jets to remove debris from an underground sewer as they feared she had been swept away.
Authorities said the woman had come to Malaysia on holiday with her husband and some friends about two months ago and was due to return home on Sunday.
Meanwhile, as the frantic search entered its sixth day on Wednesday, another sinkhole opened up just 160 feet from the one that swallowed the tourists.
No injuries were reported in the second incident, authorities said.
