Telegram CEO indicted on conspiracy charges, placed on probation
Telegram CEO Pavel Durov was formally indicted by a French judge on Wednesday for his role in criminal activity carried out on the messaging app, the Paris prosecutor's office said in a statement to The Hill newspaper. He was released on €5 million bail. Durov is accused of “participating in” managing an online platform that enables the distribution of child pornography and other illegal transactions.
