Brittany Mahomes, wife of Kansas City Chiefs star quarterback Patrick Mahomes, said she “doesn't care” what people say about her on social media after she “liked” a particular pro-Trump post.

With his NFL wife Sports Illustrated The swimsuit model took to Instagram to challenge both the mental capacity and emotional makeup of critics who slandered her for “liking” an Aug. 13 Instagram post touting President Trump's 2024 agenda.
“Let's be honest,” Mahomes wrote in the article, “if you're disliked as an adult, it means you have deep-rooted issues from childhood that refuse to heal. It's impossible to have a fully developed brain and still hate seeing other people doing well.”
Notably, the post that Mahomes appears to have liked included calls to “close the borders” and “keep men out of women's sports.”
After receiving so much backlash, Mahomes appears to have removed his social media likes. Fox NewsThe former football player said he “liked” several comments on recent Instagram posts that suggested he supported Trump.
One of the comments she liked read, “TRUMP-VANCE 2024.”
The other comment was a reference to her recent social media activity in which she implied support for Trump and drew backlash from those who do not support the former president. The comment read, “Glad to see you're not backing down. We are all entitled to our opinions and should not be intimidated into conforming.”
Kelly Stafford, wife of Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford, seemed to like the second comment.
During the interview WHOOP PodcastMahomes said her husband, Patrick, taught her “not to care” about what other people say on social media.
“He's really good at blocking other people, so it helps to have him around.” She said“He always told me not to worry about what people think, especially people who don't know you.”
“I think social media used to bother me a lot, but now, honestly, I don't care what people say about me anymore. I think he's got me there. I'm confident in who I am, I'm confident in my relationship with him, I'm confident in our life, so why should I care about what people say?”
Brittany believes Patrick's sporting upbringing has helped him develop a positive attitude towards online criticism.
“He's a lot better than I am, probably because his dad was a professional athlete,” she said. “He was into sports and I think he understood it a lot better than I did.”
“He's very good at managing those things, so having him help me out has been a great help,” she added.
