Harris bus tour focused on reproductive rights to start in Palm Beach

Vice President Harris' campaign will kick off a bus tour in Palm Beach, Florida, bringing surrogate mothers with her to promote access to reproductive rights.

The “Fight for Reproductive Freedom” bus tour is scheduled to kick off in former President Trump's hometown on Tuesday and will include surrogates including Sen. Doug Emhoff, Minnesota first lady Gwen Waltz, Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-MN) and Harris campaign chair Julie Chavez Rodriguez.

The campaign said the tour will visit at least 50 locations across Republican, Democratic and battleground states over the coming months, with surrogates focusing on speaking to voters about Harris and Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz's (D) plan to restore protections from Roe v. Wade, a ruling that was overturned by the Supreme Court in 2022.

The tour will also focus on former President Trump being “directly responsible for the devastating impact of the constitutional amendment.”Roe v. Wade,The campaign said Harris will “outline where Trump differs in his stance on abortion, including his threats to access IVF.”

Also joining the bus tour will be reproductive rights advocates Amanda Zulawski, Hadley Duvall and Caitlin Joshua, three women who spoke at the Democratic National Convention last week.

“Our campaign will be hitting the road to visit constituent communities, highlight the importance of this election on reproductive freedom and present Harris-Waltz's vision for moving the country forward in contrast to Donald Trump's regressive agenda. We will be making that contrast compelling to Republicans, Democrats and Independents as we crisscross the country,” Harris campaign manager Julie Chavez Rodriguez said in a statement.
